Kimberly Jackson, MD founded Physicians Working Together (PWT) in 2015 in order to create an exciting social movement that organically connects physicians and patients. The non-profit organization is now an important cornerstone in physician advocacy, positive public relations, and educational empowerment. It provides a platform where doctors are able to combine efforts that will strengthen healthy physician relationships through collaboration and genuine camaraderie. “By fostering supportive relationships we will strengthen our ability to provide quality patient care overall.”

Within the first two years of organizing PWT, Dr. Jackson arranged healthcare town halls in order to call for positive change in healthcare.  The altruistic leader opened the dialogue between legislators about the importance of physicians’ leadership in practice, professional development and the overall well-being of both physicians and the community. Dr. Kimberly Jackson was selected by Medelita for their H.I.P. (Honoring Inspiring Professionals) Ambassador Program. The Physicians Working Together Medical Student Scholarship Fund provides a financial endowment to medical students in order to help ease their financial burdens. Since 2019, PWT has awarded 4 medical students with scholarships.  The PWT Future Physicians of America program gives back with a 3 C’s approach. Physicians can CONNECT to make a difference in our healthcare future and COLLABORATE on the philanthropic effort to provide financial support and mentorship to enrolled medical students. These efforts combined will strengthen healthcare and the capacity to CARE for the communities.

“Medical student scholarships and active mentors can help “future doctors” achieve success! Please help strengthen our mission by becoming a community partner. We’re also in search of dedicated physician volunteers to join our team of mentors.
